Hi, I’m Nicole! I’m a lifelong Thurston County resident, social worker, community advocate, and proud mother of three adult children: Marcus, Josiah, and Jada.

For more than 27 years, I’ve dedicated my career to serving children, families, and communities across Washington State. My work has included child welfare, juvenile justice, tribal child welfare, program management, policy development, and trauma-informed care. In every role, I’ve helped people navigate complex systems and access support during some of the most challenging moments of their lives.

I previously served as Thurston County’s first Racial Equity Program Manager and was honored to be named Thurston Community Network’s Social Worker of the Year in 2007. I’ve also been deeply involved in our community through the League of Women Voters, Olympia Family Theater, NOVA Middle School, and many local volunteer coalitions and community events.

As a social worker and advocate, I’ve seen how overwhelming court systems can feel for families already facing difficult circumstances. That experience is a big part of why I’m running for Thurston County Clerk.

I believe the Clerk’s Office should be welcoming, responsive, transparent, and centered on the people it serves. As Clerk, I’ll bring compassion, accountability, and a deep commitment to opening doors and growing trust in Thurston County.
